Default Whining sound?
Not sure what it is, but I get a whining sound in 4th gear only on my 05 Road King. Any ideas? Sorry I cant be more specific, it just whines........

Haven't been reading here much huh?
On 5 speeds it's the straight cut 4th gear - used for greater torque loads (passing).
On 6 speeds it's 5th gear - same reason.
Generally nothing to worry about - just have to get used to it!

05 is a 5 speed,should not be making noise,unless you have been running syn3 in your tranny.
