Well now I'm confused.... What's my old post regarding a Sportster have to do with a cycle jack? and why are you on the edge of your seat?

Yep, I bought a Sporster 883/1200 upgrade for local running and keep the 08 Ultra for more serious highway trips. Don't think I mentioned anything about bike jacks in the old post did I??

EDIT....PS, I have also posted in other areas regarding bike jacks.... and thoes thread really got out of hand.. Seems everyone has a better jack and fast to cut down someone elses selection or choice of equipment. To be honest with you, I also did purchase the yellow jack at sears but quickly returned it and bought a J&S because "I" felt better knowing the bike was on a firmer, heavier platform. I also still own the sears red jack for the Sportster.. I prefer it over the yellow jack because it's foot operated and of course my fav color..

I have had both the Craftsman yellow and red jacks. They are both ok and both do the job. I like the red one much better though. No its not as light as the yellow one, but I aint carrying it around either. The problem with the yellow one is that there was always some movement within the structure of the jack itself when the bike is in the air. With the red one, the bike always was much more stable....and after you get to know exactly how to position it, you dont even need tie-downs for 99% of the work. I have two red Craftsman jacks now.....I know there are other brands out there that are better, but my next purchase for my work shop will be a Handy B.O.B. 1500. It will set you back about $1500 so I will have to give up playing the rub off tickets for a month or so, but by the Spring time I will have one.
