Default air intake sensor help?

was riding today check engine light comes on go to the dealer, they check the codes and air intake sensor comes up, dealer clears the code and said if bike is running ok might just be a faulty code, so I take off and the check engine light comes back on, but bike idles and runs normal, so what should I do? can it do any harm by not doing nothing? Thanks

The intake air sensor is held in by 2 small torx screws and is easy to change by removing your air cleaner and backplate. Check for a broken wire at the connector, I replaced my sensor and all along it was broken wires at the harness plug to the sensor. The ole harley shake flexes this connector and my wires had broke inside the insulation, found it with a contunity check back to the ecm from the connector.

You may just have a dirty IAS, Take off air cleaner, spray carb and choke cleaner with the plastic straw in the IAS whole in the throttle body and turn ignition off and on will doing this, then clear the codes and see if it comes back, should help the bike idle better also. you do not have to run the bike while doing this. If your breathers are routed in to the throttle body you may have to keep this cleaning of the IAS routine. Doc
