The FLHRS did not come stock with a windshield but before I bought it a 24" HD detachable windshield had been added. I had to look through the 24" and did not like it. I figured that I would need a HD 19" to see over the top but decided to try the 17" Clearview with the recurve top. I love it. Still feel a cooling breeze in the summer but no direct wind or buffeting. The top of the shield comes to about my chin but no wind strikes my face or head. Without a helmet I can feel the hair on the top of my head slightly blowing around but not straight back. I am 5'10" to 5'11" and really like this Clearview windshield.
If you decide to go with Clearview, call them and check on "blems". I bought a blem after they described the blem to me and got immediate shipping and about 20% off. I never could see the blem even though they marked where it was with tape.
I have two shields. Hated looking through the stock one, so cut it to 11" and bought another one that I had cut down to 17"
The 11 is good for in town and I use the 17 for long rides.
