Tonight, I blew a fuse on my 08 UC. I was stuck along the road in the dark trying to get into the fuse compartment etc, when 3 or 4 bikers on Harley's rode by like I wasn't even there. I don't know why, but I thought someone might stop just to see what was going on, but no such luck. It is my policy to stop for ANY bike that appears to have trouble, regardless of brand, male or female, white/black/yellow/orange or purple. I wouldn't care if it made me late to work etc. What's up with this?
wow that sucks...just to play devil's advocate though, did you put your helmet on the floor or tie a bandanna to the bars?...both are signs of distress
I live in Lake County, around Clermont. No, I wasn't aware there was a secret handshake necessary, I thought the saddlebag laying in the grass would be enough.
I always, and I mean always stop. Last week in Oregon, a couple on a new Ultra were pulled over, rear tire flat. I offered to go get some "fix it" in a can and bring back to them. They said their daughter was already on the way with it. But they were so grateful that I stopped. They couldn't stop thanking me. I thought it was a rule.... You say you know why they didn't stop, but you didn't say why, care to elaborate so we'll better understand what's going on? I'm interested how you know why they didn't stop. Cause I've had a ton of bikers fly by me when I've had problems, and I never knew why.. Tell me (PM me if you must) But I'd like to know why they passed w/o stopping.

I stop 99% of the time unless it's a suicidal situation to get over to them but at times I've looped around and come back. Only exception would be that I'm dealing with something serious and have to get where I'm going. I think most anyone who's suffered thru the AMF years stops.
For the record, I don't wave but I do stop. Hmm... so maybe... I could be wrong here but I think the "new millenium" biker handbook states that all you have to do is wave
