Word to the wise...I tried to help a lady change a tire on her minivan...she didn't have a lug wrench so I tried one of the sockets(spark plug wrench?) in the kit. It fit the lug perfectly but the torque to loosen the nut was too much for the socket...now, I have a rounded out socket. It wasn't much of a tool to start with...a good tool kit to replace the original is in the works.
I own my first Harley so this question is for real!! The sales feller told me Harleys don't come with tools and I believed him! Seems as tho' some do. Which models come with tools? Being I have been wrenching for many years I set up a leather fanny pack with tools with every thing I could think of even put bits of all kinds in a mint box . Makes a nice tidy package. HD web site under HOG has a nice suggested list of tools.
Not only was there no phillips bit or screwdriver of any sort in My 22k 08 RKC...there were no tools supplied at all, a 3 thousand dollar Japanese bike comes with a basic tool kit...go ahead fellas, tell Me I should have bought the 3k Jap bike, I know it's coming from a few of you HD is the best bike ever built guys.
Build your own tool kit....it'll be way better than the invisible one HD provides.
I could tell he was a newby when i read [LOTS OF SKULLS]. Spike
If you're gonna take a shot at someone you should make sure you learn how to spell first otherwise you just come off as ignorant AND stupid. Just sayin'.
Well I guess I'm the newest member of the club. I just went and checked, yep the shaft is reversible and the bits are there. Jeez I feel dumb.
About the only things that pi$$es you off more than being on the side of the road with a bunch of tools except for the one you need, is finding out later you actually had it the whole time!

This is a funny argument. He is right the bit should have been there. he has a right to be angry about that but then again when he got the bike he should do as I do and go through an make sure everything is there and complete. at that time the dealer can make it right. But I am a guy who blames the MOCO i sued them for my tank slapper and they settled. Lots of people have gon after MOCO and won. I almost died so I have a right to blame them. and it is a freedom of speach gives him the right to an opinion just like it does you or me.
