You could probably ride that bike for 2 years and sell it for that much, that's a sweet price. And all those extras do add up !!! Buy it before someone else does !!!
I've got a 2000 Classic that I've converted to an Ultra except without the CB since I don't need it. I paid $12k for mine two years ago and it had 28k miles and very clean. I'd say $9k is a good price, especially for an Ultra with 14k miles. I've had no problems with the MM EFI and have no plans to buy a newer bike any time soon. Mine runs great. I did upgrade my bike with geared cams to get rid of the tensioners. If you think it's been taken care of and you like the bike, buy it. You might want to call MoCo and check the VIN to see if it has the newer crankshaft bearings installed.
The early 2000 year model had bad bearings, but they fixed that mid-year. These early 2000 models tend to have better crankshafts than later models, so you'll have no trouble upgrading to geared cams if you ever decide to. Good luck.
I have an 02 Ultra that has only 15,500 mi. because of my poor health. That is NO miles for an Ultra. The deal you describe sounds REALLY good to me! I can't see how ya could go wrong. Best of luck too ya.......... And by the way, I would NOT go that low if I had the bike in question for sale.
X2. That bike is a steal. I look at bikes every day. If bike isn't salvage or has other issues you can't go wrong. IMHO
I have a chance to buy the original Hogtunes test bike which is an 02 in CHERRY shape with about 50k on it. This particular bike has been so meticulously maintained, if I can get it, I may sell the 08!
14k is SFA (Canadian for not a bunch.... eh) so if the bike is in nice shape--I say go for it!
