Someone on the forum may have figured this out.
They're a helluva man if they did.
I don't see how it can be done.

I like mine, it helped out alot with the buffeting. Before with the stock 4" windshield the buffeting made my glasses bounce around really bad.
Im 6'2" and the wind hits me right at my hairline now. If Im riding without a helmet I cant keep a bandanna on my head, but at least my glasses arent jumping around causing double vision any more.

Default Love the look

Love the look of mine. Don't think it helped or hurt the buffeting. I did not notice the difference in wind noise that someone posted above

I had the Klockwerks. . sold it to a friend who is 5'8". He loves it. I can look over a stock windshield perfectly, just hate the buffeting. Tried a Cee Bailey's shield. Ended up with their version of a 15" shield; which is the same apparent height as a stock Ultra shield. It is quiet, no buffeting, and I am 6' 2" on a stock seat. Can not use the fairing pouch with this shield though and it shakes a bit when idling, though not annoying or distracting when you start moving.

I ordered one and had it on for 2 days. I am 6 ft 1 in tall and the windshield worked great except for two speeds 45 mph and 60 mph. At those two speeds, the head buffeting caused a vibration that rattled my teeth. I do wear a full face helmet. If I brought my head down a couple of inches it would go away. The Flare just wasn't quite tall enough for me. If they made one 2 inches taller, I would order it today. I currently have the clearview 8" recurve. Works great.

If you read the link I provided early on this thread, you'll see that Klockwerks is coming out with a larger windshield by the first of the year. Check it out if you are interested.

I am 5'11" and just bought the Flare and love it. The turbulence is a lot less but that is not the biggest improvement, the biggest improvement is the high speed stability. It does make a difference like KLOCK claims.

They need to provide one taller than the 6 1/2. I tried one in Daytona from JP Cycles and it was about as useless as the stocker for me and I am 6'2" tall. I just ordered a 9 1/2 from Clearview Shields.
