06 SG, 10K miles. She was ready for it. I've noticed on the boards the low low mile bikes can't take it too soon.

In Minnesota, the PGR escort returning Iraqi soldiers from FT McCoy, Wisconsin. We pick them up at the Wisconsin border as they travel by bus to their home towns. We have LEO support and escorts. The soldiers are in a hurry to get home. I need not say more....except it's amazing how fast those big buses will go.....

So I was riding to work today and saw a cop pull out on the street in front of me. I roll up next to him at the light and say good morning, he's on a Harley. We putt off and stop at the next light and he says, "where are you going"? I told him, and he says, "try to keep up with me!". So he nails it. I'm keeping pace up with him on the main drag to the freeway. Then we enter the onramp and onto the freeway like normal. He's up to about 80, then 90, then 100 in the carpool ACDC screaming out of my faring and then I stopped looking at my speedo. Its really early and there are very few cars out. I did check top speed at about 110. 5K on the tack with my 5 speed. We rode together for about 15 miles.
I'm a newer rider and have the feeling this doesn't happen very often. Pretty cool cop though. Since I bought my bike I've been in a different world.
