Trailers are for posers who trailer their bike to the dealer to get their mirrors adjusted.
(Uh, nolafishr, can I borrow your trailer next weekend? Gotta haul some, uh, furniture...)
Man, I understand that there are people who trailer unnecessarily, and it's fun to pick on them, but I just don't get the automatic response to anyone owning a trailer as being some kind of poser. Are all you people just loners who have no other hobbies, interests, or responsibilities?
I know there's this macho loner biker image, and some have their lady on the back, and that's all cool.
However, some people have other responsibilities, such as kids, businesses, and other events that require them to take a four wheel vehicle and/or lots of stuff to an out of town destination, and would like to take the bike w/ them, so they can at least ride while there. Why is that so hard to understand?
For the record, I don't own a trailer yet, but would like to. I can't take my 5yo on the bike yet, so if I want to visit my family or the inlaws (either are hundreds of miles away), drop the kid off, and then ride around on the bike to see other friends in that region, or take fam to beach while still having the freedom to ride myself while there, the only way that's gonna happen is if I get a trailer. (Or a side car, but I don't think that's gonna fly w/ the momma).
Hey, buddy, get off the gas!! I've been riding for 32 years, wear fingerless gloves and have been known to trailer my bike. Just call me "WANNA BE, POSER, RUBBIE". However, I don't wear "the uniform"...a doo rag and vest.
Very nice buy. Looks like an excellent value. I have never seen a trailer that works that way. Oh, and you did not really expect to post that on here and not hear some smart assed "trailers are for trips to the dump" posts...did you?? I figure as soon as I start paying for your bike I can start telling you how to use it. Its still fun to poke good hearted fun at each other. This would be a very dull forum otherwise.
