Default spedo right ?

well i was wondering if eveybody elses spedo was off or just mine... see i went on long trip to the dragon from my house in south mississippi and was passed by 2 troopers on the hwy and i was going 80mph by my spedo and met 7 or 8 troopers going and coming and never even a look my way by them so i was just wondering if mine is right or does the moco do this to keep us from speeding too much?

In PA we have radar drones that are placed along roads sometimes that say "SPEED LIMIT 40" (or whatever) and below it say "YOUR SPEED" with a digital readout of your speed, I suppose to make you feel guilty about what you're doing.

Anyway, I have no way of knowing how accurate they are, but my 2007 Road King with everything stock reads 3 mph high at 50 mph indicated (the drone says I'm going 47.) I've encountered quite a few of these devices and the deviation is consistent.

My speedo reads high and the faster I go the further off it is. At 80 MPH I am going 75MPH. At 45 MPH I am going 42 MPH. It graduates at the same rate. I guess I look at it as a safety from speeding tickets while feeling like I am fudging the speed limit. I wish it were accurate though. What do you expect for 20K?? LOL!
