I need something unique but still classy. Any ideas?
I am thinking squished bugs...lol
I don't know man I just can't imagine anything on the fairing front that would enhance the beauty of yours or my bike...BUT if you find something show it to us please.
You've already got a beautiful bike. I agree with two of the previous comments; unless they're something really special, murals that look good are rare (eagles, feathers are overdone), and two, the painted inner fairing really looks sharp!
I saw a Road Glide here a couple of months ago that had a white base with pewter/pinstriped cobalt blue flames. I thought it was one of the nicest sets of flames I've seen in a while.
Something else to consider; take a look at my bike. I had a shop paint everything below the pinstripes white (rear fender, side panel, front fender) to match up with my tank. You could do the same since your bike already has the pinstriped outline for the job. Or you could do a miniature flame set following the same idea. Just my $.02. -Good Luck.
In one of your posts you mentioned the word "unique". To me and the definition varies from person to person as well as theme to theme, I think the thing that makes ones bike unique is the application of something the rider/owner feels and expresses through their bike.
You can take an abstract idea to an artist, doesn't even have to be a biker artist (I've done this a couple times) and they can draw and design a picture(s) from your idea and viola your paint scheme is truly unique and not taken from an existing gallery somewhere.
I seen someones Ultra today that defined the word unique. It had been recently done. It was an indian theme and they had graced the tour pac, fairing, the front and rear fenders and the tanks with one of a kind indian schemes. I just seen it today and do not have photos but I will be going back in the next couple days to get some.
My last bike was a black '08 Super Glide Custom, I have also owned a white FXRP, so this time look what I did! I may add a few pinstrip touches far in the future but I really love this look.
I'm a bit biased, but IMO white is one of the best base colors for a custom painted bike. We have customers that come to us all of the time asking what they should do when it comes to painting their bike.....our answer....Do it right the first time...because it will cost more if you want to it a second time.
Some examples (our work) of white bikes with contrasting paint schemes.
