I have a set on order but I have been told they have swung around and hit the ground tearing some stuff up. Anybody ever heard of this?? I really don't see how it is possible!
I'm interested in these also. Just bought an '09 Ultra and am considering these for the wife. She's only 5'1" and on the Road King I replaced the whole floorboard bracket with the one from Harley that raised the entire board about 2" It helped but she still complains about having only the one spot for her feet. I'm thinking these adjustable pegs from Kuryakn would help her alot. Any other ideas to help the short one?
I have them also...were on bike when we bought it...I must be missing something, it appears to me that there is only 2 positions, all the way back and all the way forward, wife is 5' 10" and thought it would be good for her, but like aforementioned, they would make contact with back of my calves, plus doesn't help if you have calves the size of bowling pins...probably should just take them off, they're useless IMO
Have you guys noticed that the price on these has come way down? I paid $200. You can get em now for $139. My wife likes them and that's all that matters. She can lay her legs on top of them and stretch out on the freeway.
One other thing, they require periodic tightening of the 7/16" bolt on the inside of the peg at the base. The swing of the peg mount should take slight effort to move it from front to rear, if they become real easy to move, it's time to tighten them a little. They work themselves loose over time most likely because of vibration. This may be where the statement of falling to the ground and causing damage came from.
Luckless, when you move the locking mechanism to go to the next position, when you slide it move the arm slightly to move it off that lock position then put it back in lock position then shift the arm it will fall into place at the next lock position by itself. There should be 4 positions, the most rearward one is flat and for a nonusable travel position only.
