I've gotten 2 jackets, chaps, boots & cold weather gauntlet gloves from Leatherup - all great stuff for the price.

Their Wholesale site myleather.com also looks interesting, from a Group Buy point of view. i.e. the same pair of Boots is $20.00 cheaper. The catch is you must order a minimum of $300.00 worth of goods. The other catch is sizes. They will not exchange if you order the wrong size. They will exchange if defective. A bunch of us are looking to put together an order. Good to know about the size difference. Thanks.

I have couple of jackets and chaps. The boots run small.
They have held up well. The first leather jacket and chaps are well scuffed as I was hit by a car and slid down the road at 60. No broken zippers.
Good buy for the money.

heard the sizes ran small - I'm 5'10" and 205 - should I get a 2xl if I want to wear over a sweatshirt?

I have the impression that people who say these jackets runs small, are people who have an unrealistic idea of how big they are.

Look at the size chart for the exact jacket you want to buy, measure your chest (don't go by what you already "know" it is) - order accordingly.

My chest is 42". The first jacket I bought was this one.

If you look at the size chart, 42" is on the far side of Large. Had I bought the large, it would have fit... but if I ate an extra snicker bar on any given day, I might have a problem getting the two sides of the zipper to meet. I went with the XL, and it's an awesome fit, with a little extra room for comfort.

The second jacket I ordered from them, I wanted for cold weather riding, and planned to wear layers under it. I ordered the XL, and it fit perfect. I tried adding a few layers under it, and that worked fine as well... but, I was concerned with what would happen if I were to add an inch or two to my gut. This particular jacket is supposed to have a very tailored fit. The form they're fitting to obviously isn't as round as I am. If I didn't plan on wearing layers under it, I would have kept the XL. To be on the safe side, I returned it and went with the 2XL.

I would say, if you're not sure which size you'd prefer, order BOTH - try them on when they arrive, then return the one you don't want. That takes a lot less time than ordering one, deciding you want the next size larger, sending the first one back and waiting for the second one to arrive.

In my case, with the second jacket, I didn't want to return the XL before I tried on the 2XL, since I wasn't sure which I'd prefer. I kept the XL, ordered the 2XL, then, once I had the chance to try them on side by side, chose which to keep and which to return. (thus my idea to just order both initially)

Yeah. They do. What's your point? Leatherup stuff has metal zippers. Big, honking, heavy duty metal zippers that work great and hold up well.
