I installed a Hoglite on my tourpak. People like to follow me when we group ride because they trust me when I hit the brakes. They can easily see it and slow down. I like it much better than a running/brake light combo. The HD spoiler light does not have much difference between the two during daylight so it's hard to tell when the brakes are on. Like I said, I bought to so people behind me know I'm slowing down.

I drilled 4 small holes in the bottom of my ultra style tour pack & mounted 4 small bullet lights along with 2 hyper light led pods . The bullet lights are on steady but the hyper lights flash as long as I am on the brakes. Also have the HD module turning my turn signals into brake lights. It seems to have greatly reduced my chances of having to hear "I'm sorry I didn't see you".
I took a set of take off front turn signals and mounted them in the chrome strip between the rear fender and the bags right above the bag support bracket. I still have my yellow turn signals and the new lights are both running and brake lights. They match the other lighting on the bike and best of all total investment was $30 including the red lens.
I got led laydn taillight and rear led fender trim fr ridetimetechnology.com along with running light kit fr HD. The fender trim alone adds two stoplights.
On my last bike , an 06 FLHT , I ran the license plate bracket 68230-97B with lights and the old module ,
91699-99A kit also.
With this setup I had 5 stop lights (all red Lenses).
or
4 stop lights and 1 flashing directional.
or
3 running lights always , and my friends bitched at night (when behind me).
These parts won't work on my new bike , so I will try some LED light bar stuff and LED brake and turn conversion parts.
After being rear ended (and totaled) twice , I'm fairly concerned with the lighting on the rear and front of my bike.
I just this summer installed Hyperlites #U32 dual function , on my buddies Stratoliner and they work really great , day or night , a huge improvement over stock.
PM me if you're interested in my old parts.

I added LED lights from Biker's Choice. Small, bright and easy to mount. About $35 each, but worth the peace of mind having more lighting back there, especially in Florida, the land of the "nearly deads".
