I galdly pay the monthly fee to avoid all the mind numbing commercials on "free" radio. 18 min of music, 42 min of b*** s*** commercial chatter, how "free" is that?
I gotta agree about the commercials, but instead of paying for XM another alternative is to just collect copious quantities of MP3's and put them on a flash card (if you have a player) or CD (using bike's HK stereo, if you have one). I have enough MP3's that it would take months to hear the same song twice.
the 55o zomo uses xm for nav. but what do i need to ad to the bike to use xm raido? its a 09 ultra
thanks for comming up with ways to help me spend money
thanks
I have the Zumo 550 with XM, Weather and Traffic...like it a lot. However, the Zumo doesn't use XM for navigation.....the Zumo will function just fine without XM.....
Don't you like how everybody has to add their 2 cents. If you don't like it keep your coments to yourself, others may like satelite. The thread is telling you how to save some money not if you like satelite. Once you have it you can never listen to regular radio again. All I have to say is go to Maggie Valley in the mountains and try to find something to listen too, you will wish you had satelite. I was there and mine broke I could not stand it. Thanks for the tip!!!
i don't have sattilite radio but do have relatives next door to ghost mountain in maggie
valley and you only get maybe 2 radio stations and 3 tv stations unless you get it piped in somehow. probably is a good thing while traveling
