Default Monster Oval Mods?

Hi All,
This is my first post as have just bought a 09 Street Glide that i am picking up on Sat 07 Nov. Third Harley but i think it will be quite different to the FLH Shovelhead i had 15yrs ago.
I have also ordered some V&H Monster Ovals for her. Only concern is they might not be loud enough from some posts ive read. You guys who have them, is the baffle removable? From photos it appears to be a length of perforated pipe down the guts. I thought if it was removable then say a third of the holes could be welded up to create more of a straight through pipe. This could be done gradually or reversed to normal also if didnt go to plan.
By the way, im in sunny Brisbane, Aussie. Glad i found this site. Seems to be a lot of old Harley nuts here who know what they are talking about. OK enough bulls@#%t, Any thoughts?

I don't see a way to remove them without cutting. If you want really loud, then these probably won't suit you. What I like about them is the deep sounding rumble, sorta like the old '57 Chevy with "glass packs". And the tone don't change up through the rpm's. They suit me just fine like they are.

Lightbulb MO's

@ idle the MO's seem quieter but I'm not so sure when your getting on it. They can be pretty loud, I think the low octet tone seems to fool you. I've had a stock bagger ridding with me when I was testing pipes and that was the feedback I received which confirmed my same feelings from the drivers seat.

Thanks Guys, appreciate the answers. I think i will leave well enough alone.
Might be interested to know that ive paid $AUD 33385 for Street Glide with optional Smooth Chrome Profile Laced Wheels. Comes with all options though, ABS, Cruise etc. The monster ovals i had to order direct from states through More Power Racing. They were $USD 645 + 219 shipping for a total of AUD $1320. With prices like that we do get a raw deal Down Under. Even when the exchange rate was around .92 US cents a few months ago we still pay these exhorbiant costs. Need to do a holiday Stateside and go "shopping" i think.
