I'm wanting to quiet them down. Have you had luck installing a baffle and what kind?
Huh? I didn't think my Bassani's were that loud unless I get on it. Adding a baffle to pipes not intended for one probably isn't a good idea. That being said, a baffle might go in from the front of the "muffler" section.
Agree. My buddys V&H Straight Shots seem much louder than my pro streets. But yea, I don't have any idea how you'd add a baffle to these. Contact Bassani and see what they say.
You could try the lollipop mod. Might drop it a couple decibels, maybe give you a little more back pressure..
I've ran these pipes. They sound phenomenal but they exit right below your ear bro. What did you expect.. Lol..
I'm running them on my fatboy lo right now. They definitely are on the loud side. I did some research when I was deciding on them to see if they could be quieted down and the only thing I found was on a Victory forum, someone put some drag specialties mini 4" baffles in there and he said it helped. That is the only bit of helpful information i found in my search.
I've been debating buying these, the only thing holding me back is some people say they are too loud.
What's the general consensus on these? Do these get you pulled over for being too loud? They've been cracking down on this lately where I live.
Last Fall I went through an inspection stop and they didn't mention that my Bassani's were loud - there wasn't much traffic so I was talking to them for about 5 minutes about bikes. Meh! For regular city riding Bassani's are reasonable until you put your foot, err... wrist into it - then they squawk pretty loudly. I think they're quieter the the V&H big radius.
(Personal Opinion On): I think the Bassani Pro Street Turnouts look more at home on a Harley than the V&H Big Radius. After all, if you want your Harley to look like a Jap bike, just go buy a Jap bike - don't try to make a Harley look like one. (Personal Opinion Off)
