Ok, here's the problem. The factory mirrors on my Ultra are low enough that when i look at them, they are right in line of the bifocal line of my glasses so in order to look through the mirrors i have to lower my head, and it just annoys me to no end. i bought the taller mirrors which vibrate so much you can't see a car behind you. One car turns into 2-3 cars, 2-3 cars turn into.... you get the idea. i really don't want to buy new specks just to ride in. Does anyone out there know of some taller mirrors that have a more solid post on them that won't vibrate quite so bad? it's a small prob. but again, it just annoys me something terrible.

I don't have bifocals but I do wear the bike glasses with the foam inserts and change into my "office" glasses when I get where I'm going. I guess I'm saying, why do you need bifocals for riding, just get a set of single vision glasses. Nice looking scooter, got a bigger picture??
If you grip the bars really hard , do they clear up?
If so , and you don't have Throttle by wire , just adding bar end weights would help you greatly. On my 04 Buell Lightning , I almost couldn't see anything clearly ever , from my mirrors so I checked out the "throttlemeister" cruise control with bar end weights. http://www.throttlemeister.com/
These worked really well on my Buell and helped with numb hands also.
Another setup which I almost went with on my 06 FLHT was Manic Salamander bar end weights. http://www.manicsalamander.com/bar_end_weight.htm
Either setup will change/dampen the amplitude of the bar vibrations and clear your mirrors up pretty well.
To use either setup , you would have to cut the end of each grip off and the weight will become the end of each grip.
Remember the heavier the weights , the better the vibe reduction.

J&P carry mirrors that mount toward the top of your fairing. i believe they are called "pork chop" mirrors becasue of the way they are shaped. check em out, might help you.
I put Sporster Mirrors on my 93 ECUC. They are longer and taller than the touring mirrors. No problems with vibration.
Another suggestion: First Bifocals I had (years ago), same problem with the reading lens being too high. Your Optition can lower the height of the reading lens. Next time you change glasses, keep that in mind. If you think bifocals are bad, wait until you have to trifocals. I drove LensCrafters crazy, but they finally got the right spacing on all three lenses.
Good luck,
They ain't cheap, but the people at www.eckcraft.com make some great mirrors that happen to be very functional. Mine stand about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch taller than the stock Ultra units.
