Default CB, Am i expecting too much?

My wife and i ride everywhere together, and use our intercoms all the time. She hates the thought of the CB radio, and i don't even want to use it, but i do think it should work. After all this bike only has 2000 miles on it. Am i being too picky to want it operational even if i never have plans of using it? So....... it's in your hands, Drop it off at the dealer, or drop the subject!

It should be in working order whether you use it or not. When I had an Ultra the only time the CB got used was on group tours other than that it was off.

Absolutely get it fixed. Under warranty. It ought to work... You never really know when that might be a life saver, or at least tire saver, or back saver.... You know what I mean....

If its under warranty you should get it fixed. Not only the emergency **may need it** or when your with a group on a long ride, but if/when you sell it in the future, do you really wanna tell someone the $1100 radio doesnt work?

Add me to the "get it fixed" bunch. Warranty will cover it, and it should work!. Only used mine on one trip with a bunch of guys with GoldWings and Ultras, but it was good to be able to communicate. Definitely plan to use it again on future group rides.

You might ride with another rider that has a CB and sometimes it's good to chat, or at least talk about road hazards and routes and such.

We use them in my riding group to put in the front and back of the group to know that all are through an interesection etc.

Get it fixed.

I ride a 07 RG and had the CB added. I use it on most group rides. The former wife wants to ride from northern Virginia to Sturgis next summer so we'll be adding a CB to her RK. That's a lot of miles to rely on hand signals.
