Went down on my 97 Roadking after following a city streetcleaner that put some slippery crap on the road. Bike slipped right out from under me. Cosmetic damage and a bruised ego.
Godspeed to your health and bike. Glad you're OK as Life goes on. I'd probably be pissed and hurt at first, but be thankful to be alive and bikes can be repaired to new again.
Glad you are OK. I think I would call the insurance and ask what would one accident do to the rates. SOunds like it would be a little expensive to put the bike back to new condition. If you are like me, even if you can see the scratch, it bugs me to know its there. If it were on my 08, I would probably file and get everything fixed.
Got in a big oil slick many years ago and, to be honest, have no idea how I
kept it upright. Glad you're ok and I would file, get a check and fix it myself, there'll be plenty of $$ for upgrades!
