I have a fancy front wheel but a stock rear. They no longer make the matching rear wheel. I wouldn't mind just getting a solid chrome rear wheel but I'd prefer the stock wheel size. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks all!
same here, i think iam going to do a chrome exchange on the stock rim...i saw one that had those small fins ground down and chromed ..i thought it looked good
I had the stock on for a year and it bothered me so I put on a Road King Custom wheel on the back and it gave me an excuse to go to a 150 on the back. With the chrome lip, it looks so much better IMHO. Do what you can afford!
I also ran an XL Custom rear wheel on my SG for a while. Fit and ran fine but was very visible when the bike was on the stand and drove me nuts. Wound up going ahead for the matching rear. Just noticed that your running a Weld on the front so you might as well stick with a solid. I'm like you and am running what I thought was a discontinued Weld wheel. Had a front bearing go bad and called Weld to get another only to find that Weld Motorcycle doesn't exist any more. Said they had no parts either. Wonder what just happened to our chrome warranty?
I think it is perfectly fine to run a solid on the back with the fancy in front. In fact, that is exactly what I am going to do on my SG. Look at the solid chrome Fat Boy wheel for the rear. Will bolt right up and you can stay with the 16".

I have it on my SG. 16 Rear [polished Spun Aluminum #43750-03] with a 18 front Perf Mach chrome "judge" . I also went with a solid chrome floating rotor on the rear. Looks and rides like a Hot rod!
