Are the batwings supposed to be watertight? I took mine off last night (09 SG) and about 3 tablespoons of water came out. I haven't washed it in about three weeks. I never had to worry about such things with my Roadking.
check the rubber around the top and edges of the fairing and around windshield .do you have the bags on the dash i have heard were they allow some leakage.
As long as the radio can handle it I'm not too worried. I don't think it could ever be completely waterproof with the wind/rain these things get exposed to.
I'm a little concerned about it not draining away though. Maybe it's not a problem in hotter weather.
We've had some cold/warm weather cycles here so it could be condensation. No windshield bags installed.

take the outer off a couple times a year and there is no concern about water in the fairing radio is marine grade but it is a good idea to clean under there a couple times a year.
