1996 Electra Glide, The Fairing, side covers and Saddle Bags turn white when wet. When it drys they look ok, not as bright as the tins though.
thanks

Maybe they just need a good buffing session? Is it still the stock paint job?
When I took posession of mine, my tins had a white haze as well. My dad let this thing sit under a cover for two years, so that may have something to do with it.
As soon as I got it, I washed it, then buffed the hell out of it with some Meguiars Gold Class and the haze is now gone.

I had a similar problem with a car. My neighbor showed me his older car after using a clay bar on it. It looked great so I tried it on my car and I couldn't believe the result. Do a little internet research to see if it might work for you.
Without seeing it, it's impossible to guess what might be going on. You may have a bit of dye back, which can be buffed out. Your clear may be delaminating, which is unlikely, but, if that's the case, it would need to be sanded down to the base & the clear re-shot. Dunno.. got some pics?

Noticed that on my RK. I think I had used S100 on my bike and didn't rinse it off well enough. I believe a good cleaning and a coat of wax took care of it. If you use S100, rinse the hell out of it.

I would definitely do it again.
Clay bars are da bomb. my dad's BLACK F350 crew cab duallie truck was a mess from neglect. (he had his shoulder replaced, and could not wash it since last January). I borrowed it to use for a week, figured I would try to see if I could clean it up. tried cleaner wax and some other stuff with my buffer. surface still felt rough. clay bar'd the whole thing, OMG what a difference. used the buffer and waxed it afterwards. the next week he had it out and some of his friends saw it and wanted to know when he got the new truck... lol. btw F350 crew cab duallie's are a ***** to detail.. its freakin huge.
