Default ECU adapters

Over the week end I finished what I call my "madness", completed exhaust mod. Now I need to determined which ECU adapter or a new ECU to go with. Zippers has a complete replacement of the stock ECU that you can program with a laptop, then you have the PC V and other device like it that received a re-map configuration.

Which one are you running with? I like the idea of programmable version so when I decide on a new top end or new cam I can re-program for the changes. It's just hard to write out a 900.00 check for one.

As much as Zippers says you can program it yourself..........you can't. You can get the Zippers T-Max with auto-tune and it adjusts as you ride but you need to start off with the correct base map for that process to work correctly.

The new PC-V isn't available yet as far as I know. The guys at Fuel Moto will send you one with a pre-loaded map for your set-up. You can also make adjustments via laptop or get a dynotune.

There is also the SE Race Tuner or SE Super Tuner...I think it is the SEST now. This product needs to have map made via dynotuning.

I personally am a PCIII guy...I have had them on every FI bike I have owned. I get mine dynotuned.

Whichever product you choose the key is getting set up/tuned correctly.

PC111 from Fuelmoto for under $300 with a map that will be very close. You don't need the PC V for an 07.
After that you can play with it yourself or have it dynoed by a competent tuner.

The best option is the TTS tuner.
