11.5" 412s on my bike. No problems at all. Handles great. no bottoming out. Scrape floor boards occasionally. Ride is a bit stiff. Bike is slammed though and looks killer.

I cut this info from www.bitchinbaggers.com web site which is pretty much what my service manager warned me off about on the lowering blocks. Not a risk I wanted to take.

Dangers of using shock relocating brackets:
Changes critical shock angle causing rough ride.
Stability issues and increased bagger wobble.
Can cause the lower shock eyelet to break off.
The brackets often times break from flex and fatigue caused by increased shock angle.
Clearance issues with bags due to increased shock angle
Allows tire to come in contact with fender, VERY UNSAFE, if you're lucky it only burns up your tire, the paint on your fender and the tail light wiring harness.

That same web site offers a service that reduces your stock shocks for much less money than lower shocks. Another forum member told me about them but nobody I know has tried it yet. Progressive has had good reports on good ride quality.

I had em, didn't like em. Bought 440s, didn't like them either (rebound sucks). Bought a set of Works Performance Shocks, didn't care for them either. Now I'm back to the stock air shocks. Comparatively speeking, running at a low air pressure (6 psi), they ride pretty good.

I put the 12" progressive 412 shocks on my bike and love them, most of my riding is solo so I don't know about 2up riding but I haven't had any trouble with clearance or dragging, I like the ride.

Repositioning blocks are like putting lifts in your shoes and wearing a hair hat.
You may think you're taller and aren't bald but everyone knows!!!

Changing the shocks is the right way to go
