Default compensating sprocket issues

07 flht
every now and then while riding i hear a "clunck" from the lower left side , in the primary ,only when ill hit a bump in the road, or a pothole

any issues in there that im not aware of?

It is not your comp sprocket.Check lower rear of your saddlebags,the bracket that supports them at the bottom, if not installed correctly will break.

I've had a compensator sprocket loosen up.

It sounds like a rod is about to blow out of the bottom of the case ~ VERY loud & solid.

THere were a number of issues with that on pre-07's, but I'm sure it's possible on 07 as well.

There might be some issues neither of us is aware of, but it sounds like a jiffy stand thing to me from here.

Yup I agree about the jiffy stand.Either a weak spring or the bump stop has moved or is missing.

Have you checked your drive pulley bolts? If your belt is loose it will magnify any clunking sound. There has been a stated issue with bolts breaking.

Sounds like the jiffy stand to me. Mine does it occasionally too on a big bump.
