Default Extend warranty? Need opinion.

2007 Road King Standard with 4K miles. Warranty expires in December.
No major issues, should I buy the extended warranty or not.
I have learned a lot from this Forum and value your input.
Thanks,
Roger

Default Extended Warranty

I purchased the extended warranty and actually needed it!!?? I have an 05 RK and Harley used bad oil seals in the motor. Well needless to say they needed to be repaired. I did end up paying about $140 when all was said and done. $50 deduct., rings were not seated (wear item) hone cylinder, labor. The total job was about $400 and change. So here's how it goes, don't buy it and you'll need it, buy it and you wont?????? Good luck.

I bought it cause I ride over 20K a year. I plan on having around 150K on it when the extended runs out. If you put just 2K mi. a year on yours You wont have but 14K mi. on it when your extended runs out. In your case I'd have to consider not putting that much out. I've got more then 14K mi. on mine now and I got it May of this year with ZERO problems. Just MY .02

plan to get it on mine 48 month extended. I just don't like the idea of making payment & paying for repair at the same time.

Bought one for mine, in my opinion a small price to pay for the comfort of knowing that anything (major or minor) is $50.00. Especially in the present economy......
