I have been using the EXO 100 now for about 4 months. It is a XXL in flat black, I have a big mellon , and I still had to adjust the rigid foam with a hammer to make it fit across my wide forehead without pain.
It is the best helmet I have owned. I have been riding for 45 years and have tried all types. The built in eye guard is fantastic. The helmet is well made and I would not hesitate to replace it with another when it wears out.
It cost $150 here in Canada earlier this year. My HD dealer sells them.
I have one and love it. I too have a big melon and I'm happy to say that it's one of the only helmets my wife says I DON'T look like the "Great Gazoo"...
Nice helemt but couldn't find one that fit right.
Went with a 3/4 Shoei RJ Air instead.
Not really what I wanted but now that i have it, gotten used to it.
Whole lot safer IMHO,
I ride a Scorpion VX12. It is carbon/kevlar and it the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn. I have actually crashed a motorcycle or two and I know those half-helmet jobbies are crap at their actual job, which is to prevent injury during a crash. The VX12 protects your face and gives you a large opening for vision. I wear sunglasses so the day/night thing is not a problem. It is specially designed to not lift up and I can say it does not. You won't get one because you care about how you look to other bikers and it doesn't look like Harley Dude helmet, but it is a perfect choice, performance wise.
I have a scorpion helmet, but is full faced. I tried the xxl but too small. thought my head would explode. Went with xxxl and shen new, fit tight. The liner broke in nicely. Very comfortable nad would buy another and recommend instantly.
I don't know about the 100, but the 200 3/4 is what I have. I live in South Florida and it is the coolest helmet I have ever owned in the summer time. Great airflow. The fit is great also. The only thing I dislike is the wind noise is more than I would desire, but I use an mp3 player with ear plugs so that negates the wind noise. I use to wear 1/2 helmets, but must keep as much skin out of the sun as possible.
I would buy another Scorpion when this one needs to be replaced.
i bought the full face first most comfortable helmet i have ever owned, bought the half about 3 months ago love it but i have to wear a dew rag or it rubs my ears. really like the flip down visor wish i had the bucks to get e new full face with the flip visor on the inside.
I have 1 , it is a good well made helmet but I would not buy it again if I had it to do over again. With the neck liner removed the helmet pushes the top of my ears down , with the liner on it's fine!
Here is how I fixed mine so it would not rub on my ears and mow it fits perfect. Just mark where your ears touch and take out the liner, trim it and sew it back up. Here is a pic.
