Default Chrome front-end

Does anyone know if it is possible to change out the lower fork tube's on a RG without tearing the whole front-end apart? I found a link to do this in the Do It Yourself forum but it was a RK that they were changing the lowers on, the RK doesn't have the cartridge in the left fork tube like the other baggers do. I have the shop manual but it really doesn't tell you either.

Complete Pull out of the forks.... You are going to need a long handled swivel head ratchet to manipulate the fork cap socket (Make sure that you have one).

Have to tear the front end right down. Need a 1 3/4" wrench for the top.

Thanks guy's, sounds like lots of fun. Any idea what kind of time shop mechanic would take to do this?

Should not take a pro much more than an hour to do the front end on a RK. Just have to drop the wheel and pull the forks. Just did my bike and you do not even need a spring compression tool on the 06' batwing forks. All ya need is a pipe to go over the fork to press in the new seals.
