So, Deepsouth 251, The Super Tuner is the same as the Race Tuner, with the exception of you have to use your brain. The last version of the Race Tuner had variables that was equal to the fuel value. Example a change of 5 was 5% fuel. Now it has been changed to a closer variable that does not equal the exact feul value. This allows more fine tuning. All the earlier PC's were the same way. Other than that it is the same for tuning. The MOCO has offerd to Dealers a DVD that explains how to use it, There is a website for Dealers devoted just to it. If your Dealer doesn't understand how to use it and instead of learning, just recommends a PC instead, how is that complicated?
We have tuned several and have had not troubles.
Gutman,
Once again, good info, this is the sister store to the one I was talking to you about the download. It's really a shame that you can't trust what the people have to say that you spend your hard earned money with not always out of deceit sometimes out of ignorance and then they wonder why so much business is going to "competent people" who sale over the internet.

Just like buying a car or major appliance. Do your home work ask the right Questions and see what they have to offer. Chances are if they badmouth a product because it is too complicated, hasn't done their homework or doesn't think they need to. I have installed several PC's over the years and truthfully do not like them. That doesn't mean I just say they are junk and move on. Money is tight now days. Do your homework and find who has the best answers. Chances are you will be satified in the long run.
One other thing, this forum seems to act as a sifter to sift the good from the bad. It appears that if you are going to be an advertiser here you will have to be on top of your game and honest in your dealings or you will be found out quickly and you won't be here long, this is why I have found it easy to trust a lot of them. If you ain't got it going on you ain't going to make it on HD Forums.

I completed my stage one with Supertrapp SE's, SE AC and the MOCO's new Super Tuner. My dealer used a canned map identifying SE slip-ons instead of Supertrapp in the exhaust upgrade category. They told me to ride it and see if there were any noticible problems. If so, they recommended that I schedule some dyno time. So far so good.
I may opt for the software and associated cable to see what a map looks like and how to manipulate it. I'm assuming that once uploaded from my ECM onto the laptop, I can save the current sucessful configuration and always reload it back into the bike if I screw something up in my attempt to fine tune something.
I recall reading where somebody kept all parameters the same except for a small tweak on the AFR while at idle to not run so hot while waiting at the light.
That is a good thing. You can also tell the guy's that are semi-trolling or don't know what they are talking about. Some are just posting so they don't look like a newbie. That is a good thing to know you have a few million friends to watch over ya.

Hey Gutman, you have any thoughts good or bad regarding the Fuelpack? I don't have V&H pipes, which may make mapping a little tricky. I am not apiring to build this motor out; just want a Stage 1 that doesn't burn the thing up.
Guys, Talked to my local HD sevice manager (who I respect and consider a friend) about the options on my new 09. He feels good about their ability to make me happy with the new tuner...AND...support me on any warranty issues. This is the same guy, who last week sent me to an indy over my 97 MM tuning problems. He said in that situation, my best bet was a PC expert with a dyno. A man who can be honest will get the majority of my business.
