Bought my first Harley in 7/05 a FLHRCI, and love it. But I was thinking the other day that part of the "coolness" of a Harley was the way they were started. Why did the MOCO eliminate the "Kick Starter"? I ride a Road King Classic which is missing a major part of the classic look by not having a kick starter. I'm not saying that I would use it all the time, just in front of chicks, and to look cool in front of "rice burner" riders. It would be a neat "add-on" option, what do you guys think?
I traded an old 750 Norton I had been riding for years for a new Harley , BECAUSE it was electric start. I have jumped up and down on my last motorcycle. It has no coolnest factor for me. Most chicks,I think would wonder why you just didn't push that little button on the handle bar like everyone else.
Marsh
+1 for J&P catalog they got alot of great stuff.
But if i were you id stick with the little button just think back to your dirt bike days when your shin was black and blue and scabbed up. Wouldnt look so cool now. Good luck.
Hummmm.... I used to kick start my old Honda 160 back in the 70's.... but I can not even begin to think about how hard it would be to kick start a large HD engine????
