sat night, wasn't busting your chops. i took it as a joke, thats why i threw the bearing skate in there.

however, got to mention. the default is not always the default. what i mean is its not always 1-1-1-1-1.... when my bike came, the default was the last 5 digits of the vin number.... so if all ones doesn't work, try that one too.

I didn't have any problem programming my new bike, but my '03 model was more complicated. On my new bike, I entered Pin # XXXXX

Fooled ya!

Thumbs up Security System code finding how to's

Hi all just want to say thanks for this Thread and everyone involved.
I bought my Road King a couple years ago and had no idea it had a Security System (no Alarm), the reseller said it didn’t have the Factory Security System.
After reading all Threads pertaining to how to identify the Module and a test function using the Ignition and signals I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I had a Security System.
I went to a Local Dealer and bought a key FOB and Married/Paired the FOB to the System.
Now as to this Thread, I was able to find the existing Code from the previous Owner which displayed in the Odometer Area. I was able to change the Code and now looking towards the purchase of the Factory Siren Alarm.
Many thanks again for the point to point description on “HOW TO” .

You might check out the V Twin Reference app for smart phones. It has a lot of code information in it as well as other trouble shooting stuff.

excellent find. instead of the hd siren, check out the radio shack siren install thread. sure it doesn't have battery back up (which the thief won't know anyway), but for $6.00, you can't beat it.
