I've got to thank everyone here. On no forum I've belonged to has there been such willingness to share level-headed information, nor such warm sincere welcomes! I'm reading almost all threads and learning so much about HD from some really, really sharp people. What a home I've found! Almost as good as church (almost!)
Got my first good ride in today, 100.8m in 54^ temps and believe it or not, no frost nor rain in the Memphis area. Suuuwwweet ride! Need to bone up a bit on warm clothes but having spent years at 22ft in deer stands, I'm not worried.
Goin' into HD tomorrow with several questions, some they may say no to such as can they put a cig lighter on for me (no faring). I have no business messing with wires myself! I have a Garmin nuvi200 with a cig lighter adapter. A $20 plug beats the het out of HD's near $1k for their unit and mount. Maybe also a pigtail off the battery for a tender and warming clothes should I decide to go that way, little Xmas List making... ya know what I mean
