2010 engines ???
Ah, come on....it was in good fun.

Personally, I have no problem with water cooled motors. My first bike was a Kawasaki Vulcan 800A, and the radiator was hidden in between the downtubes on the frame. It was flush, so it didn't stick out.
With cooler operating temperatures, you can run more timing, have the engine tuned in better and make alot more power. If they do it right, they can keep the soul in the bike. Harley spent alot of money on the V-Rod motor, and it could be made to work, but I would not be surprised to see a new water cooled motor instead. The V-Rod was derived from the VR1000 race bike motor, and so it's characteristics are that of a race motor, i.e. high rev's, etc. You will see a motor that sounds everything just like what you already have, but with water jackets around it. Subaru took essentially a VW Bug motor, put water jackets around it, and they have been using it for 40+years.
Will be interesting to see if they really go that route....time will tell!

express only that I read that say the mechanics expert and very authorized in the subject who know much more that they (they) tell. For example a voice(vote) very authorized in the material(subject) is Donny Petersen de American Iron Magazine, who consists in little of persons of the fact that they (they) were invited to Milwaukee in Mars 98 for 88 discovered the big secret of the company, the engine Twincam, and for them to ask for its opinion.
What do you think about that ? it,s better buy know before a new and ??? engine.
thank,s at all.

On the subject of WC Harleys, I have a Vrod now that I am trading for a new 09 Street Glide when it arrives in about a week. I don't mind the water cooling on the VROD, what I don't like is the high reving engine. As long as they keep the old big twin with tons of low end torque, i'll be happy. But 2010 sounds kind of soon for such a big change in tradition.
