Something might actually be doing that if oil temp gets that high. Think about head temps if oil temp is over 300*F.

I don't know of oil in a stock scoot getting over 270*F, even in Arizona, and that's too hot in my opinion - would add an oil cooler.

JES Custom Accents
I just got this one the other day. Outstanding quality and appears to be very accurate. I can look down while on the road and see it at a glance. I like mechanical gauges and this one is the best i've seen of it's type. I got mine liquid filled with oil for vibration protection. Very pleased with it.

Check out JES custom accents website. Great products, but even better yet in this day and age, excellent service. If you have any questions or if there are any problems Joseph at JES will take care of you and make sure you're satisfied. Bought an analog oil temperature guage for my EGC from JES.

Question

Any additional feedback on the Jess analog gauges?

I'm not a real fan of the Harley-LCD version...way to much negative feedback on their battery life and random performance.

Real curious to hear from those of you with Jess' version...I like analog for something as crucial as oil temps...just sayin.

: )
