Thumbs up

You can take them off by heating with a hairdryer then using either dental floss or fishing line slip behind emblem and use floss/ line like a saw...residew can be removed with wax and grease remover or orange goop....it removes stickers. DONT pry on the emblems, you may end up with a dent.

Would anyone know if the chrome plated StreetGlide emblems fit directly over the Electra Glide Standard painted letters and be a good fit?I want them on mine.

Sounds like you need to take a ride up to the Harley-Davidson museum. I believe they have a large collection of tanks displayed.

To make the removal even easier, take some alcohol and apply on the top of emblem and between the tank. It will disolve the sticky part of the tape and by using the fishing line as stated it will come off easy.

Also great idea on the museum. I plan on finding out what color paint offered in the year I was born and repaint my bike that color. Sounds like a bike trip to the museum next spring.
