Default Does it trap heat?

For those of you that ride a bike with a fairing in summertime temps at or above 95 degrees, do you find that the fairing concentrates the engine heat on the rider? Or does it dissipate pretty much like the cruiser style bikes? TIA!

These should help fight off the heat behind the fairing on those warm summer days.

No.. assuming you mean the upper fairing.. Hard Lowers are the pits in the hot summer months.

Ditto that....I hate the hard lowers in the heat.
I carry the snap on soft lowers with me and wouldn't have the hard lowers again.
The fairing is not an issue,in fact when the temps get into tripple digits the wind no longer cools you off and the fairing actually helps.
Riding into 110 deg heat without a windshield is like having someone hold a hot hair dryer in your face up close.

The fairing doesn't trap heat; in fact, it offers the best of both worlds---good protection and good airflow.

The lower fairing on the newer Ultra's have a built in vent. it works very well and will keep good airflow on your legs. The Upper fairing traps nothing, it simply helps with airflow, keeping you warmer in winter, and cooler in hot summer

Hey HD Renegade
I checked out that website you posted, thats a great site for Electra Glides they have some wild stuff. The deflector wings they sell for the fairing, did you purchace them and if so how do they look on the bike. Will they stand out like a sore thumb? And do they actually bring the air in closer to the engine which should help keep it cooler?
