Default fairing lowers
I am adding fairing lowers to my 07 Street Glide, just wondering how hot they wil be in the summer. My morning ride to work is getting a little chilly. Do I need the detachable hardware or will they most likely stay on all the time? I have never had them before, just wondering.

You will probly just notice the heat when stopped.

I ride with mine on all the time.. But I have a friend that takes them off in the summer months.

I ride with mine on all the time too. Pretty easy to put on & take off so don't think the detach hardware is worth the $$. My

I've been riding with mine since winter. Last weekend it was close to 85F outside and my feet started to feel hot even with the vents opened. I'm thinking I'll take 'em off pretty soon and put them back on at the end of summer.

I plan to leave mine on all the time. The helped me with the buffeting and with the vents open and my feet out on the highway pegs they still get plenty of wind

before you install them , look at the vents in the full open position , you will see when fully open half the opening is still closed , mark this area on vent door remove the door and cut that area out then reistall the vent door , now when open it is fully open and much cooler , you still have plenty left to close the door

I leave mine on all the time. Even on a trip to Sturgis in 90 degree plus weather. They really come in handy when you get stuck in the rain.

No plans to ever pull them off mine either.. Things seem to stay plenty cool once the vents are open.
