Default Build sheet. Important? What do you think?

Wondering what folks think about the importance of their build sheet. You know the one that is affectionately know as your motorcycle's birth certificate. It states when and where your bike was manufactured as well as a bit of other data.

Well, I didn't realize it, but it wasn't included in my package when I picked up the bike. My buddy got his when he bought his bike a week later from the same dealer. I've asked a couple times for it and they keep telling me, "oh, we're looking for it". I'm getting the run around.

I'd like to have it. I think it's something that should have been included without me asking, and asking again.

What would you do if you didn't get yours?

Are you referring to the piece of paper that's attached to the outside of the shipping box? I got that from my dealer, but probably just because I happened to be there when they were uncrating my bike.

Unless you're into old Corvettes, a (factory) build sheet is a waste of trees. Forgetaboutit!

Just a manufactured piece of the Harley mystic. Nice to have, but no biggy.

They really are of no use, BUT, some people like to have them.
Your selling dealer should have the "certificate" with the sales paperwork, I'd ask the sales manager or the F&I person, they should be able to make you a copy if you really want to have it.
