Question Guys please help me...(abs brake lines) direct question

The question is.... for the SG 08 with ABS, does the brake line coming down from the lever and main cylender goes to the T block which goes to the calibars or does it go to the ABS first... then another line goes to the T block from the ABS?
If it does go to the ABS... is it connected via a banjo volt?

if you think my understanding is totally wrong... please try to clarify this issue to me...thanks

P.S: the dealer says it goes to the T block first...but all the online kits says you only need one brake line to the ABS.

On my 08 RKC, if I remember correctly, the line from the lever goes under the tank to the ABS unit, then a seperate line goes from the ABS unit to the "T" block under the steering head then to the calipers. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much ... but if any one could confirm that for the 08 SG i'd really appreciate it.

I don't know for sure, but it seems to me that for ABS to work, the ABS unit needs to be able to modulate braking pressure. The lever input would have to go to the ABS and then the ABS control the pressure to the front caliper.

For the money, you would benefit from buying a factory service manual for your bike.

I'm pretty sure it goes to the ABS first and then one back to the block then one to each caliper. There's a banjo at the master but I don't know how it's connected to the ABS. They go from rubber to hard lines under the tank I believe. I don't have it in front of me but I think thats right.

There are 4 banjo's at the abs unit. A in and out for the front and the same for the rear. All I bought to do my bars was the line from the master to the abs unit.
