Yes you can change the oil with no problem, even if it was dino oil. I would only say that any syn blended or full synthetic is better than no syn.
As far as the RG vs UC, you know who I'll be pulling for. SNS I truly believe that red is one of the most beautiful colors HD ever put out there, but, they put it on a fugly looking model in your case, talking putting lipstick on a hog huh.
Ultra Theo, welcome to the touring section buddy, stick around and break out the wallet, you will save (spend) lots of money with all the ideas you find here.
Hey SNS, he called your bike fugly. It matches your garage walls!
Hell, I just use the oil from the fried chicken place down the street. Works just fine. Now if I could only figure out how to shake all the dogs that follow me around...
Oh man, this is better than an "E" ticket ride at Disney.."..make sure your trays are in the full upright position and keep your hands inside the car.."
And how long have you been reading these multiple repeated oil threads? You have not been here that long. If someone ask a question that has been asked before a 1000 times either answer it or skip it but don't post something stupid about it being repeated. Why waste his or your time? Oil is a big concern for many people and some of you should offer your opinion not slam the person asking. Been using Amsoil for some time and like what i see with the oil samples. Just went 13 months and 10k on the oil in my truck and oil analasis says oil is still good to go but changed it anyway. Bike gets 5k changes regardless. I think the oil analysis is the ticket to knowing what is working.

In all reality, as long as you change the oil and filter on a regular basis, you can probably use dang near anything and be just fine. I've used Redline, Mobil 1, and currently using Amsoil. I guess if I get another 300,000 miles out of my engine on Amsoil I'll be able to say it's a better product! LOL.
My last oil change I switched for the regular oil to Screamin' Eagle Syn 3. My question is, when I do my next oil change I am considering using Amsoil. Because these are both synthetics, I believe this is no big deal. Am I correct or is there something I am missing here?
Yes, you can switch to Amsoil and you will be fine.
