I've posted earlier but my friend has a $30,000 2008 cvo road king. It basically quit running on a trip we had. It has been at the dealer now for 4 weeks with no result. The dealer has been very helpful and doing what they can but they can only do what HD is authorizing the dealer to check and do. Is there a contact in HD that he can call and discuss the issue? My friend is obviously very frustrated at this point. The only contact number that has been given to him is the standard 800 number for HD corporate which takes you to Customer service reps who really have no authority to really do anything or tell you what to do. Do any of you know of a real person he can talk to out HD about warranty issues? There seems to be no end or answer and he wants to explore his options. Thanks for any help.
have his lawyer contact them to "express" his concerns? I feel your friends pain, however maybe waiting is all he can do at this point. If the problem is found and HD won't warranty it then he may have some recourse.

Not sure if this number is any different than the 800 number but I called 413-343-4056 when I need to talk to them.
His service manager can contact their "S.O.A.R." rep. they are the service departments contact, if there is a confirmed problem that the dealership cannot diagnose or repair, the rep will come to the dealership.
4 weeks.......? he should have been there already!
I filed a customer complaint back in 06 with mine stumbling when cornering. After a round of talks to get the ball rolling, the dealer did all kind of checks. It was still almost 2 years from purchase date and 24,000 miles before they replaced the faulty induction module in mine to fix it. Sometime ice melts slowly, but it melts eventually.
BBB,Lemon Law,New bike not gonna happen and lawyers are not free. Your life does not depend on that toy running so your best bet will be checking with the dealer regularly and keeping your tude in check. If you think making a big stink is going to get better results go for it but you may just be shooting yourself in the foot. They will get it fixed.
