yes thats right i want stock shocks. I'm looking for the right combo, i started with stock lowered HD shocks (like a SG) but they were to short with the extended fenders on my scoot it would drag the rear coming in and out of the driveway. then i tried a set of progressinve 412's 12 1/2" lenght, thinking that 1/2" would get me the clearance needed, but they have more travel which allows the tire to rub the top of the fender in 2up mode. I'm thinkin arnotts are the way to go but funds are way tight,so stockers are the cheapest and hopefully the right answer. Let me know if you can help
So what are you length are you looking for?
You know you could step up the preload on the 412's so they don't bottom out. If that doesn't work you may need a stiffer spring. Also there is a rubber stopper that slides down on the shock shaft and helps to cushion the the jolt of bottoming out but it also effectively reduces the travel of the shock.
I have a set of stock 13" from my 07 RG. Pm me if youre interested.
FYI I went with the Progressive std 440's (12-1/2) with full load and tour pack set at the hardest position I would bottom out hitting a 1" bump in the road, I then put the heavy duty spring on and now I have no issues.
