on my 06 street glide i have air suspension and it seems that ever since i put the 18" on the rear i havce to air it up to the point of where the rear is almost higher then the level point just to keep from rubbing . That not only creats a front end wobble at high speeds( 100+) but also looks funny.has anyone else experierenced problems with air ride and 18" rears?
i have 18s and air ride and i don't have that problem. i could ride with it all the way down if i wanted, but that wouldn't be very fun...lol
which system do you have and what length did you get. i know with the arnott system you have to get the longer length for 18s (the 13in shock) to keep from rubbing.
Also please know that if your fender is rubbing then so is the wiring harness running from the battery box to the rear lights.
My mech suggested she relocate the wiring harness to the inside curve where the top and sides of the fender meet once I put my 18's on since it was starting to show signs of rubbing.
Had her relocate the harness and now all is right with my world.
Perhaps relocationg the wiring harness is all you will need for clearance.
