I did all of what you did and still had problems. After ruining my clutch gear I went with the ACR's. I always knew the police bikes had them on their 103's. And now all the 103's have them as standard equipment. Hope you don't run into the same problems I did.

I just wanted to toss it out there that S&S has the 570CE cam which will rival the SE255 in performance yet it has the S&S patented Easy Start Technology. This eliminates the need for compression releases or starter upgrades.

Anyone doing the 103 and 255 cam should also do compression releases. I couldn't take all the starting problems anymore. So I just replaced my 09 RKC heads with some 2012 take-offs I bought that have ACR's. Took me about 18 hours to do. Five of those hours just to install the wiring harness. But it's all done now. Big difference! No more kick backs. Starts real easy. It'll save me from a lot of problem in the future.
My 96" with stage 1 would buck, without CR's, and 0 issues with the 2012 103".
