Fuel Mileage After Installing High Flow A/C
There are really two issues that come into play when you are comparing fuel mileage from a stock bike to a bike that has had some upgrades and has been properly tuned. When you swap your stock components with a free flowing air cleaner and exhaust you are directly changing the volumetric efficiency of your motor, more airflow = more fuel. Secondly you need to take into consideration the lean mixture mandated by the EPA, so you properly tune the bike to run correctly, richening the mixture = more fuel. Typically you can expect a reduction in 4-6 MPG depending on the setup, which is not bad at all considering the gains. Most importantly fuel MPG changes greatly based on your riding style.
