I put true duals on my "08" ultra. I really like them however, my nephew put V/H slip-ons on his "08" street glide and his sounds as good and runs as good as mine. If I had to do over, I would just get a good set of slip-ons. Use the saved money on some nice CHROME. Yea baby!!!

I have an '06 Streeter and this is what I would do if I were doing it over:
If I was going to leave the motor stock internally I would use slipons with a Fullsac true dual conversion. I would also contact Fuelmoto and get a PCIII and Big Sucker from them and custom map the PCIII if you're not happy with the Fuelmoto map.
If, though, you're planning on internal mods down the line get the Rineharts now - they won't get cheaper by waiting and the installation is a breeze. Also the Rinehart foes on the forums contend (to the point of nausea) that you will loose all or most of the bottom end power your motor makes. This simply is not true. My bike suffered no discernable loss of low end power (if there was a loss, it was so small I couldn't feel it) and it seemed to have more power everywhere as evidenced by a dyno session to remap the PCIII. I could run with and pass 96" bikes similarly modified.
Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

+1 on the Fuelmoto Setup, give them a call and talk to them about the pro's and con's of both setups. I lurked here for quite awhile and did my own research before I pulled the trigger. When I got my bike, I was all ready to get the Rinehart true dual's then realized without doing other engine modifications I would lose performance in the area I wanted the gain. Don't like the look of the 2-1 system and ended up going with the Fuelmoto Jackpot's. After a Dyno Tune to tweak up my map, I ended up with 77 HP and 92 TQ. Quite a bit of bang for the buck and it took me about 90 min to install the PCIII, the slipon's and set the throttle zero point. I already had the A/C installed so that might take another hour of your time if you don't already have it. Pretty straight forward and Jamie and Kieth at Fuelmoto will answer any questions you have.

Ditto on what Buzzsaw said, contact Fuelmoto and they'll tell you what you need. I"m not a 100% sure on this but don't the police bikes come with the Stage 1 upgrade??
If so all you should need to do is the slipons and the Jackpots that Fuelmotto has have a nice growl to them when cruising and an attention getting bark when cranking it on.

Real happy with mine!!

It was put there to discourage people from just coming to the forum to try to sell stuff, try to keep the trolls and scammers away. (I'm paraphrasing what Terry said in a sticky at the top of the Classified sub-forums).

Slip ons will typically increase the sound (that will of course vary depending on the brand pipe you are looking at). You don't normally get a whole lot of performance changes though. The installation of true duals vs. slip ons is slightly more difficult, and that's negated if you have a set of helping hands. I've installed both (as well as 2-1), and if a mechanically inept idiot like myself can do it, anybody can!
