Default Help!

Okay guys here is my problem. I had the inner cam tensioner fail at 32,000. I replaced the cam plate with the updated SE plate/pump combo. I added Head-Quarters HQ0034 cams with gear drive. I also replaced the lifters with the HD "B" lifters. I keep the stock push rods. After assembly the top end had a "tick". I pulled the rockers and pulled the lifters to try to prime them again in case I didn't get it right the first time. Got it back together and running this afternoon and the tick is still there. It actually sounds louder; to the point I could hear it from about 40 feet away. It did not make any noise before the tear down. Suggestions? I was thinking I may actually need to replace the push rods with adjustable. Everything looked good on disassembly. Most of the tensioner shoe broke up into big peices that I was able to remove from the cam chest. Cleaned things as best I could and checked as best I could. I am kind of at my wits end on this. Thanks guys!

Another option/possibilty is that one of the new lifters is bad or got some debris in it that the original lifters avoided. I could put the original lifters back in. What do you think?

are you using the oil pump alignment tools to center up your rocker supports?
are the pushrods in the same positions that they were originally?

Don't think I need the tools for the rockers. I think that is just for the EVO's. I made up a cardboard box stand to put the push rods in to make sure they wnet back in the proper spot. The rocker assembly has a nub to locate itself on the head. But thanks for the suggestion. I will double check the book to make sure I didn't miss anything.

The lift on the cams is less than .510. I am thinking that something got into the new lifters or one (or more) is screwed up. I may go and put the original lifters back in to see if that makes the problem go away.
