There is a way to see what software version you have in the radio. Don't remember if its on the HD site or in service manual for the procedure. I will look tonight, but I remember reading that you have to have the CB to get the WB alert.
I just updated my software and no sale! I still don't have this function, but I just saw where you have to have a CB for this function to work.
In the 06 touring manual it says that the feature is available on the FLHX ( no CB there ) but it doesn't show up on mine either. Running software version 8.9
I am running the software that the website says I should be,but I thought I would re-install it againg anyway just to make sure everything was installed properly at the factory. Everything still works the same? Guess I'll just have to live with it. If anyone with a road glide with factory sound system gets this function please let me know how you did it.
My 08 Ultra has it. When I go to weather ban mode the word alert is in the top left hand side next to the #1 button. If you push the #1 button it highlights the alert word and turns on the alerts. Push again and it removes the highlight and turns it off. In August during a storm alert here locally the WB broke in over the radio to tell me about it. My manual does say that the radio must be CB equipped.
